Variety Puzzles and Games Volume 30 has a wide variety of "brain-challenging" games.With 98 pages, it's a typical puzzle magazine that you would find in the magazine rack at your local store. Some of the types of puzzles included are: Acrostic, Change-A-Word, Crossword Jumble, Cryptograms, Gridlock, Letterbox, Paragrams, Rhyme Time, Spiral, Sudoku, Word-Finds-in-Reverse and Word Mosaic.
I found that quite a few of these puzzles are harder than what I'm used to finding in other books and magazines; so if you like a challenge, you will enjoy this magazine.
The one complaint I have is that it is printed on newspaper-type stock which, when you erase, does not hold up very well.
All in all, not a bad little puzzle book.

Cheap, excellent fun to stuff in a carry on bag or take on the bus. Not extremely durable, but it's $3. Totally worth it for the entertainment and portability.

Puzzle book is in excellent condition. Brand new! Huge variety of puzzles! If you know someone who loves to challenge their mind, this is the book to get them!
These puzzles have great variety and are as challenging as they are fun. The puzzles included aren't your typical crossword or word search. I'd highly recommend this for long trips or rainy days, and am looking forward to getting another similar title.
This book was too hard and frustrating for he man who received it from me as a gift. his would be for someone who has worked a lot of different word puzzles in the past and is looking for a challenge.
I love the variation of these puzzles and the size of the book; the puzzles are challenging enough and the variety is pretty good. Kappa Publishing used to offer a book called "Popular Crossword & Variety Puzzles" that obviously included crosswords and diagramless crosswords, which was a great collection of challenging puzzles, but I think they opted to divide the puzzle types to get you to buy more books from them.
Regrettabley, I purchased this as a gift. The puzzle book was very thin and the pages were poor quality. Rather than thick white paper, it consisted of newspaper-type pages which would be difficult to erase when mistakes are made.
